Quilt Fest Mini Classes
Pre-Registration deadline & payment: March 23, 2012.
Class fees are listed by each class (checks made payable to Decatur Quilt Fest) and must be received by March 23, 2012.
Class prices are listed next to each class. Price includes all class supplies, unless otherwise noted. Fees must be paid for at time of registration. Come and learn a new technique or brush up on others. Sewing machines and other tools required will be available for use in class. Pre-registration is required to guarantee your spot. If a class is not filled, walk-ins will be accepted.

10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Jelly Roll Race ($20.00)
Have you ever purchased a jelly roll and wondered what to make with it? This wonderful class will have you racing through your strips and you should walk out with a lap sized quilt top completed. Students must supply one jelly roll or forty 2 1/2" strips.
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Hand Embroidery ($10.00)
This technique is making a comeback! Learn the basic techniques of hand embroidery and imagine all the quilting possibilities. You will make a small book-style needle case out of recycled felted wool fabric embellished with a variety of embroidery stitches. All supplies included.
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Make and Take Pin ($10.00)
Put some GLITZ in your wardrobe. These adorable pins have beaded hair! Learn how to add beads & crystals to add a little sparkle! All supplied included. (There will be an additional $5.00 fee, collected at the beginning of the class, for supplies)

Learn the technique of paper piecing to make a wonderful mariner's compass block. All supplies included.
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Needle-Turn Applique ($10.00)
Have you wanted to try applique but aren't sure where to start? Then this is the class for you! Come learn the tricks and techniques to great looking applique without using your sewing machine. All supplies included.
